title pic I Feel Sorry For Him

It’s first things first now that summer vacation is giving me the benefit to be free from school and work. I’ve written before about my cough that I suspect was due to some kind of allergic reaction to pollen and grass. I feel that the cough has been giving me discomfort and worse, I’m having difficulty in breathing sometimes. Hubby has been complaining about feeling nauseous the past days and he thinks he’s got diabetes. So we went to a newly opened clinic that serves drop-in patients. Otherwise we need to book in the common clinic or hospital and wait forever before we could get the check-up done.

We didn’t wait long till the doctor called our number. Then the check-up had finally done after a couple of times breathing in and out, while the doctor listened to my lungs through her stetoscope, lol! It was actually my second time to undergo the same procedure in the much more established clinic, but hubby and me were not satisfied with the doctor’s drastic treatment so we decided not to go back there. Anyhow, the result of the check-up today was the same as that of the previous clinic, lol! Nothing serious, I just need to maintain the inhalation powder that the first doctor prescribed me. She said that the cough gets worse now when pollen counts is high. I always thought something is not right with my health, but I guess I just have to set aside my being stubborn och go on with the medication, hahaa!

Then came hubby’s turn at the nurse’s lab. When everything’s done, the result was not what he expected. No diabetes at all and he had the guts to wonder how, lol! He, too, always thought he had diabetes and his being peckish to sweets made him think so. While we were sitting and waiting for the doctor’s further advice, a man came sounded a little bit like begging to another doctor to admit him. He said he had a terrible pain on his back and I could see when he walked out. He walked like a living zombie with shoulders shrugged tightly as if they would fall down anytime. It was a little over four o’ clock and the drop-in closes at four. Was it enough reason not to attend to a patient’s agony? I verily feel sorry for him. Think about hubby and me who thought how sick we were, and yet we weren’t at all, thanks to the results. But a man who obviously looks sick has been deprived of his right to be treated. It’s preposterous!

“I understand that your drop-in hour is over, but I really have a terrible pain on my back”, were the words I heard from him when he approached the doctor. Then seconds later, he left.  I fervently hope he gets treated somewhere…
