Under My Umbrella

10 October 2008 By: Marlene14 Comments

I was walking under my umbrella to and from the school and the more I wished the rain would stop, the more it rained cats and dogs. I had no choice but to walk beneath my umbrella while the wind tried to blew it away. Such days I wish I’d never have to go out at all. It’s mesmerizing to listen to the sound of the pouring rain than feeling the drops on your head. And the fact that I hate bringing an umbrella. If I have to, it should be folded small and flat. Oh, sure I do have this kind of umbrella, and it just fits in my handbag, too. No one could tell that I have an umbrella in my handbag, haha! One time, when I was out with my friends and when it started to rain, I took my small umbrella from my handbag and they were all surprised how that little thing could fit in my bag.

Don’t tell me to wear rain coat cos I can’t stand dripping in the bus or tram. Those water-repellant coats are good only for hiking in rainy days, but wearing it while riding a bus would end you up standing in the middle while others trying to avoid you like you’re having a contagious disease. Who would want to come closer to a dripping man, lol!

Autumn has finally taken over the warm season and dark mornings have just begun. Although I prefer to avoid this season if given a chance, I’ve learned to accept and enjoy every moment of it in the best way I can. Aside from more rains and strong winds, this season is never a bore when leaves of the trees begin to change colors from green to somewhat dark orange or brownish colors. It’s a pretty sight, really. No season can stop me from doing what I’m supposed to do. Not even the rainy days that implies I need to bring my umbrella even if I don’t like it.

and look who’s complaining about the rain! LOL I love rain My, for obvious reasons- it is cooler here when it rains and I hate the bright striking sun! however, if I had to travel by bus here and there, it would be uncomfortable too with the umbrella or rain coats.

Winter is approaching, so, I bet you’ll get more of those wet weather there. it’s OK, just get yourself a water resistant jacket and then be under a huge umbrella. 🙂

You wouldn’t catch me dead carrying an umbrella. I’d rather get soaked to the bone … LOL!

Nick, you’re not like the Cambodian hubby of my friend, always brings his umbrella, rain or shine, lol! I understand men don’t usually do this.

I also have little umbrella but if I used it during windy day as in not normal windy day, I’m sure it will bring me up to the sky lol, kidding aside, yoko rin ng umbrella lagi bitbit kaya super liit lang din sakin. Kaso mabilis masira pag maliit tapos pag sobra mahangin at may rainshowers.

Grrr, i hate bringing an umbrella kapag sobra ang hangin talaga.

I used to hate bringing an umbrella, but just like you I have no choice but to bring it with me. I also prefer the folded one para pwede sa bag. Madalas kasi nakakalimutan, naiiwanan ko kapag long umbrella eh.

Amor, it happened to me once na nakalimutan ko yung long umbrella sa isang café.

    Mhy,

I can only say one thing – your title reminds me of someone I used to love – no other than KC Concepcion. Kinanta nya yan sa show ng nanay nya e. Hehehe.

I hope you won’t catch cold during the rainy season sa inyo fren. Bawal magkasakit ngayon dahil mahal ang gamot.

Ahehe! Someone that you used to love mo pala si KC ha.

Naku! Sinabi mo pa Jess. I hate colds and ang mga gamot dito di ko pa nakakasanayan.

Ay talagang maganda yung version nya fren. More pleasing than Rihanna’s version.

OOT, that’s something different. Your umbrellas must be collecting dusts by now, hehee! I like to wear raincoat when I’m hiking in the rain though.

Thanks a lot for dropping by. Hope to see you again.
