I haven’t been to any place since our summer vacation in Davao last year. Last night I talked to hubby about going on a short holiday somewhere just to unwind with the beauty of nature. A quick and short drive to the south will be much relaxing while looking out over the green fields and those wind turbines by the motorway. A short vacation is all I need to get away from this busy life of work and study. Sometimes I thought life is unfair that I get very short holidays and more days of work, lol! Do I sound like complaining? Maybe I’m getting enough stress from work-related pressures that I badly need some days off.
Speaking of day off, it will be a holy week holiday here in two weeks. It’s supposed to be next week, but since we just had our spring break so it’s moved a week after the actual holy week instead. This means I have to be patient until the holiday comes.
Going on vacation is not only to unwind but to get acquainted to the place and discover the uniqueness of its structural construcion. One of the places or country I’ve been dreaming of spending a vacation is New Zealand to see this beautiful Beehive known as the Executive Wing of the New Zealand Parliament Buildings. Of course there are more to see in this country aside from this architecture. For those who have experienced more flights to New Zealand, I’m sure that everything in the country is well worth seeing. It’s always good to plan a vacation destination ahead of time so we can think of a imaginative tour of the place that could add excitement at times.

Oh, Davao City is actually the largest city in the PH in terms of land area. I will be posting here about my birthplace some time. Good to know your husband had visited Davao.

uy sama ako jan sa EB na yan… kelan ba? haha!
Dapat magbabakasyon kami sa Baguio last year kaso hindi natuloy kasi nagkaroon ng accident si hubby, may cast yung right foot nya for more than a month kaya ayun, hanggang plano lang yung Baguio trip namin.
Hopefully this year, makapag bakasyon kami but this time sa province namin sa Romblon. 🙂
Marlene says
Amor, gustong-gusto ko talaga ding pumuntang Baguio, kahit saglit lang. Oo, nga pala, naalala ko yung post mo about your hubby.

My, the idea of driving and the scenery of wind turbines and green fields is so beautiful and exciting. Maybe you should talk your hubby into taking you somewhere near, well, the weekends would be perfect don’t you think? 🙂
I would love to go to Europe for a long vacation too, but we are planning a trip to Hong Kong very soon, and I am kinda excited about it. I love traveling too, in fact everyone in my family. Like you said, it’s the idea of learning abt another country and getting acquainted with the ambiance of the new place visited.
My, how many kdis do you have? and where are you located now?
Marlene says
Hi Farah, when the weather gets fine here, we’ll take some time to drive south.
And don’t you ever forget to ring me when you’ll be in Europe for a vacation, hehee…I’ve never been to Hongkong, I’ve heard it’s a nice country.
Before I got married I could not afford to travel outside Phil, poor me. It’s my hubby who’s dragging me into this kind of pleasure.
Lovely dear, I’ve been married to a Swede for 7 years now, but the sad thing is that we haven’t got a child, not lucky, maybe. I am residing in Sweden, been living here for 8 years. 🙂

My, it’s OK. enjoy your days with your husband before kids- once you have kids, then, you’ll be busy with lots of things you never imagines! 🙂 Travelling is great, and lucky you, your husband is taking you everywhere there!
yes, If i do come to Europe, I will let you know. The furthest in europe I have been is just UK. it’s way too expensive to think of Europe as a destination now. 🙁
