I tried to consider the differences between tapas and pintxos, but I couldn’t think of any. They look similar to me, and even the way they’re prepared. Pintxo or Pincho is a small snack, typical in northern Spain, like tapas. My husband and I love tapas especially when it has jamón on it. We usually make our tapas with jamón, garlic bread, aioli and olives or tomatoes at home.
We tried some pintxos at the hotel bar we stayed in Bilbao. They’re probably the most minuscule “tapas” we had, and they’re oh, so delicious! The most miniature hamburger I’ve seen is even suitable as pintxos. But I could kill for olives and anchovies pintxos now ☺!
How about you? What are your favourite pintxos or tapas?
