Listen While You Toast

22 December 2010 By: Marlene4 Comments

Do you have a radio in your kitchen that you turn on when you’re having breakfast? If you don’t have then you might need this Radio Toaster from OBH Nordica. The name sounds like you’re going to toast a radio but it’s not. It’s a bread toaster with built-in radio. Hubby grinned when he saw it in the newspaper ads a few days ago. But that’s what we call technology, either innovative or unproductive. Maybe the one who came out with such an idea is trying to free-up space in the kitchen or save the money in the pocket. It can be both.

It costs 895 sek ( $100+) when I checked the price recently. I have no plans about purchasing it since my radio and my bread toaster are still working fine. I might not want it in the future though. For me, it’s not quite a good combination. A bread toaster can stand alone perfectly without a radio and otherwise. But I’m sure there are people who would consider buying this for the sake of innovation. And those who want something different in the kitchen. It’s not even a bad idea to give it as a gift this Christmas. Think about it, yourself.

That is such a cute idea and a way to save counter space. Where did you pick this up?

Hubby found an ad of this in a newspaper and it gave me an idea to write something about it. 🙂
