It’s been 15 years since my last Christmas and New Year in the Philippines, particularly in my hometown, Davao. My husband and I surprised my family and relatives when we came on 17 December and our idea was to surprise my mother on her birthday. And so we did. The best time was at Christmas when we all gathered together for gift-giving. We flew to Manila to spend the New Year.
This is our first time together in Manila and our first New Year. We’re at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza and the place is all set for the New Year celebration.
