Where’s My Rice?

cod fillet
cod fillét and what’s that sauce

This is a continuation of my previous post.

The only moment when almost everybody stopped talking was during lunch.  The food, somehow, really kept the mouth from talking and I was glad it did.  I could hear no talking but the sound of cutlery placed on plates.  Seemed better for a moment.  Some looked like a hungry wolf and gorged as soon as the food was served.  But I wasn’t the happiest at all when I saw potatoes served on my plate.  The cod fillét was luscious enough to become pleasing to the eyes as well as to the palates.  But I would be more willing to eat this with rice, lol!  Sometimes, we just can’t get what we want.

I guess being Asian, rice is still very much our staple food. I was wondering if they would serve rice or exchange the potato with rice for you, if you asked? I never tried something like this before and was thinking maybe they would. ;)

BK, I’d be glad to exchange it to rice if I could. But the lunch was free courtesy of our bosses so we had no choice. Although we had rice a year before so I thought we’d have the same this year.

Yes, it’s true. The people here eat bread and potatoes but they also like rice once in a while.
