When August Comes

I can’t believe it’s August yet, it seems just yesterday I was in a holiday mood after the last day of work. I’m still in a holiday mood to even not realize I’m in this kind of mood for six weeks already. This first day of August precisely reminds me that three weeks from now, I will be back to my hustle and bustle life. I miss my work but there are still a lot of things to put in order before I start again. I don’t miss schooling maybe because I’m no longer at the age of a typical student who is agog at school openings after a long vacation. But I can’t quit both or any of them. My work is a good source of income and my study is my path to a higher income someday, hahaha!

This soon to end holiday gave me no choice but to start organizing things now before everything becomes heaps of work to do. And staying at home keeps me at a lazy pace. You wouldn’t know how lazy I am when I know I can do this thing tomorrow instead of today. The saying, “don’t wait to do things tomorrow for what you can do today” or something like that, is not always true to me. Or at least in some instances. Of course there are tasks that need immediate action and can’t be postponed. And I could never forgive myself if I miss a particular task that has something to do with my work or study. But for now, I am inclined to blogging first before doing anything of little importance.

  • I can’t believe it’s August already. Wasn’t it just January only yesterday? The time sure passes by real fast and I don’t think I’ve achieved anything constructive the past eight month!

Nick, yes, it’s August already and you have about 5 mos to think of anything constructive before the year ends, so better hurry up, lol!

Grabeh bilis, three months to go one year na pala kaming andito sa Oz..hay sana makapag-aral narin me driving, laging pending dahil sa mga kids ko.

    • Marlene says:

Joy, malapit na pala kayong mag one year diyan. Hehee!, ako simula 2002 pa nag-aaral ng driving pero on and off dahil sa work and study. Hanggang ngayon la pa akong d-license. :-( Kailangan ko rin talaga ito sa work ko.

  • Michael says:

That’s called procrastination. Well, enjoy it while you still can! :)

  • Maricris says:

Oo nga bilis-bilis ng panahon! LALO NA pag ur working. Pati kamay mo can’t keep up with the date. I still write 7/— and its 8/1 na! ayayay!
kakatuwa yang kwento nyo about driving. Ako driving for about 1 yr. pa lang. We waited 3yrs bago ako nag-drive full blast. Time and money-kamahal ng insurance. Anyway, goodluck sa driving.

    • Marlene says:

Maricris, soon it will be Christmas again, hehee! Good for you, you’re driving na. It’s a must din diyan sa US na marunong kang mag-drive, I know some former colleagues na nandiyan na at natuto na ring magdrive. Me, I need time lang talaga sa driving school. Pero mahirap kasing pagsabayin lahat.

  • Farah says:

oh yes, we were saying the same thing. Already August, September we will be fasting already for the whole month. Time really flies and we are getting older and older like with a blink on an eye!

well My, enjoy your holidays while you can, Once the semester opens, you will be busy again and you would miss these golden relaxing moments. So what, be lazy as much as you want in the next 3 weeks and get all up and working again after that. :)

    • Marlene says:

Farah, that sounds early for a fasting month. Yes, we are getting older but time never does get old. If only we can live like time, hehee.

Yes, I’m enjoying it but I will find ways to blog the same though.
