Seeing tulips in springtime is something I always look forward to. This flower makes spring really beautiful with its radiant colors and forms. It stands like a sophisticated woman wanting to show her loveliness distinct from others. It’s a beauty that everybody admires. My day is even more brighter the moment I see tulips. There’s something in this flower that charms my senses. Whatever it is, must be beyond description and beyond grasp of meaning.

I have one pathetic tulip in my garden this year, because even though it is almost the middle of May…it has been too cold this year for any flowers to bloom!!! Thanks for visiting! Come back anytime!

My,
get ready with your pen and paper now…it’s time for CHOW MEIN!!! (that’s fried noodles)
you need:
garlic
chilly paste
chicken breast (cut in small pieces)
fish cake/ fish balls (if you have them) or otherwise fresh prawns (skins off)
onion springs
eggs
fresh mein (or even egg noodles)
soya sauce (do you get it there?- Asian brand would be preferable)
lil bit of oil
a frying wok
methods:
add lil oil in the wok under medium flame
crush about 5 garlics and put in the wok
add in chilly paste (according to your hot level):)
fry until the chilly is almost cooked
then, if the mixture is too dry, add in a lil bit of water – LITTLE!!
add in the chicken breast, fish/prawns and fry till they are cooked
add in the soya sauce (according to your taste)
add in some salt and a pinch of sugar
now, you should have a soupy mixture in the work
next, add in the noodles and stir fry
on a separate smaller pan,
make an egg omelette (make it as thin as you can)
then, when the omelette is cooked, put it in a plate, and roll it (like rolling a paper)
next, cut it into thin slices–> this is used for garnishing
next, put your fried noodles in the serving dish,
pur the sliced eggs on top
cut the spring onions into small pieces and pour them on top of the noodles too
there you go! let me know if you are really making this tomorrow ok?
love,
Farah

I am just like you in this sense. I love flowers and trees…just nature basically. There’s just something so calming about the stillness that they have. It really just blows my mind away.
Btw, it’s your bday tmrw? Happy Birthday!!! 🙂 Hope you have a real good one. *hugs*
Marlene says
Rozella, nature’s always best. I just hope I wouldn’t get pollen allergy much this time.
It’s hubby’s b-day, thank you. I had a hard time looking for gifts so Farah suggested something that I can cook for him instead. Not a bad idea. 🙂

I also love tulips! I just learned na ang dami palang colors nito? Usually kasi nakikita ko lang yellow, white at red tulad ng nasa pix mo. Meron pa palang cream, black, apricot, bronze, blue, brown, etc. Amasing! 🙂
Happy birthday to your hubby Marlene. Many happy returns of the day. 🙂
Farah says
My,
did you try out the recipe? how was it? and how was the birthday??? let me knowww!!!!! 🙂 🙂 i forgot to include bean sprout in the ingredients!! ouch!
Marlene says
Farah, I had a strange day yesterday cos I had headache the whole day, that I decided to go straight home after work, I felt nauseous. I have all the ingredients, though, but I don’t have a wok pan. I should buy one today as hubby’s beginning to like wok vegetables and I am determined to do this recipe. Too bad, hubby had to buy something for our dinner on his b-day. 🙁
