I recently found out from my stock of images that I’ve taken pictures of different churches while on travel and even just going around town. My passion for architectural designs probably encouraged me to shoot whatever that’s standing tall and high, only to realize later that those are churches and not a skyscraper tower.
And so I’ve come up with an idea of posting images of churches on Sundays tagged as Church Sunday. Coming up in the series is the Votiv Church in Austria. As far as I can remember, I took this pic when hubby and I were driving through some cities in Europe seven years ago. We didn’t own a digital camera at that time. But clicking here and there was only my concern everytime I got hold of my ancient 35mm camera. Yet, I wish I could have done it better.

Aws, pang-pro ba yan? Wala nga ka-direksyon-direksyon mga kinukuha ko. Pero I’m trying, trying hard talaga, hahaa!

It looks very imposing with its Gothic or Byzantine architecture? It’s very tall, taller than the tallest churches in the Philippines. Thanks for the photo. God bless you always.
Marlene says
Hi Mel, it’s actually Gothic architecture. The architecture has combined different Gothic architectures to symbolize monarchy and state.
Thanks for your comment, kabayan!

good meme to begin with- Sunday church. In Europe, there are a lot of great architecture buildings especially on old churches.
Marlene says
Farah, I’ve just tagged all my church architecture posts as Sunday Church cos I discovered I’ve taken a lot of photos of churches. 🙂
