The Need For New Eyeglasses

23 January 2010 By: Marlene20 Comments

the geniuses!I told hubby a few weeks ago that I needed to change my eyeglasses anytime soon.  He got his new pairs a year ago and believe me, it costed us a fortune.  This is one reason why we don’t change glasses more often, the price is exorbitantly high.  It’s always over $200 to be exact and I am nonetheless unhappy to pay this high when I can’t even find the pairs that suit me.  I take whatever there is just to have my eyeglasses changed.  I’ve learnt that the ideal interval to change eyeglasses is one year after the last prescription, but mine are almost two years already so it gives me a thought to save a penny each day to buy me new eyeglasses this year.

I took the chance to visit an eyeglass store days ago and peeked on the kind of eyeglasses it had on display.  But I couldn’t find this pair I found at Zenni Optical.  Sad to say I can’t go to the actual store’s location because it’s in the other continent.  But good to know that they ship foreign orders.  The first thing I should do now is to go to my regular optometrist and get a new prescription.  Then I can have this pair of brown/gold eyeglasses delivered to my address.  For a price of $23.95, I can have four different pairs, yet it doesn’t exceed to what I paid for my old eyeglasses from my optometrist and eyeglass store.

Furthermore, Zenni Optical takes pride in bringing high quality product of great durability, safety and comfort at truly reasonable and affordable prices.  This is proven to be true when I read the article, Cheap eyeglasses are a reality. Check out Eric’s review of Zenni Optical.  Despite of the low cost of Zenni Optical’s glasses, the quality remains high because they manufacture their product with the latest modern materials and bring them out from their own factories so their own brand speaks its name. Why should I go for popular brand names when I can get the same quality from Zenni brand.

Only recently I found a website that talks about finding the right glass match for eyes. Amazing.

I envy people who has perfect vision, you know the ones blessed with good eyesight without having to wear eyeglasses? unfortunately, I’m one of those short-sighted individuals who need wearing eyeglasses regularly. 🙁

Ugh! You have a very expensive sort of eyeglasses. Hope they will last, like two or three years.

I use disposable daily lenses and it’s more expensive than eyeglasses if I use everyday and buy a pack every month.

Some people are just lucky. But not me. 🙁

I would love to get rid of my astigmatism, but I’m still hesitant to go for laser eye. Maybe later when I get older.

Meron na rin akong eyeglass, I would use it when I’m in front of the computer, yun nga lang lagi kong nakakalimutan, dapat pala nasa tabi lang sya ng computer so I would remember. Astigmatism din ang problem ko.

I guess that I should take care of my eyes right now since I have diabetes. It could lead to me o use eyeglasses in the future or worser issues like blidness.

I’ve read about that somewhere. And you’re lucky you still have perfect vision despite your diabetes. Take care…
