I got the chance to take this picture of Poseidon, the god of the sea, yesterday on my way home. In the background is the Arts Museum that’s showing Christmas stories for public viewing until December 23. Poseidon statue stands at Gotaplatsen, the heart of Gothenburg. It faces the whole Avenue as if it is watching over this city when darkness falls. Knowing that Poseidon is the god of the sea, I wonder what he had done to the people of this City that they put up a statue of him. I even asked hubby, but his quick reply was, “he might have been stranded here a long, long time ago”. 😀
