The First Lady Loves Fashion

16 February 2009 By: Marlene18 Comments

If I had to choose between shopping for clothes and shopping for shoes, I’d choose the former.  I admit I don’t like spending too much for shoes than I do with clothes.  I also know  there are a lot of women who can’t skip a month without having new pair of shoes.  But in my own view, it’s a waste of money under my feet.  Although I have this craze for clothes, I’m not sure if I like fashion.  I’m not that fashionista when it comes to clothing myself.  What I consider most with my taste for style is that it fits me and I look good wearing it.

Now that’s just something about my endearing passion for clothes.  What I really intend to write is about the First Lady of America being on the cover of Vogue.  She looks so simple yet adorable in the pic.  But not the clothes.  I think it’s too dark for her.  If it was a bit lighter, probably, it would reveal and blend her color beautifully. Though she said she loved fashion she’s not to blame for the color of this dress but her fashionista who dressed her up for this purpose. And read what she said about clothes and fashion. “I love clothes. First and foremost, I wear what I love. That’s what women have to focus on: what makes them happy and what makes them feel comfortable and beautiful. If I can have any impact, I want women to feel good about themselves and have fun with fashion.” I love these words and I should say that she is witty in all aspects.

It is all about how we see ourselves.

Hmmm I love both shoes and clothes. I don’t think I can pick! But if you ask me to pick between shopping for both of them or going travelling… I’d pick travelling for sure! Hehehe

You, travel freak, Rozie. Yes indeed, travelling is worth spending a fortune.

I also don’t like wasting money for pleasure.. I rather keep it practical.. I may spend once in a blue moon for pleasure, but I always consider it helping me for my future needs…

Pahn, saving for the rainy days always bring good. I think twice before I spend for something of less importance.

Shanker, I’m sorry about that. I think my Math Spam plugin is the one that’s dumb. I didn’t know the comments disappear when you hit the back button. You may help me find a better plugin other than Akismet.

I’m not a pink sucker, really, and I don’t even know why I buy pink clothes. 🙁

Isn’t she adorable? I read one of the magazines recently too, and she was voted the best dressed first lady ever! I love what she wore during her husband’s inauguration and the dance she had with her husband- so sweet!

Farah, I saw her dress and the dance, too. They’re absolutely adorable couple. And I love Michelle’s ready wit in all interviews.

I love Michelle Obama’s style. She’s not as classic as Laura Bush – but I wouldn’t want her to be. I love clothes and I love shoes.

Jolie, thanks for dropping by. It’s good to know that a lot of women like Michelle’s style. She can be a good model for us, women.
