The Double Skin Facade of Etnapolis

| 10 July 2012 | 1 Comment

I can guess why this shopping centre is called Etnapolis and it just fits perfectly knowing that Mt. Etna can be seen in the background. When we asked the bartender at the hotel where we could go shopping he referred us the Etnapolis Shopping Centre. It may not be the biggest shopping centre in the world but it’s one that has a distinctive architecture. Its exterior features a fully glazed double skin façade shows the fronting surroundings with Mt. Etna in the background. The text logo “ETNAPOLIS” is fritted white on the blue background, thus making it a double skin façade with screen-printed glass.

I will show more images of this shopping centre in a separate post. Meanwhile, have a look of the video and see how stunning Etnapolis is.
