Icy School Ground
I had seen this area of the school filled with water and formed a plash when it rained and the children would splatter on it at breaktime. Now that it’s winter the water turned into ice and hard enough to let the children bring their ice skates and perform on ice. Some like to play hockey while others just want to glide with their shoes. This is better than playing with water, I guess, though I know that some children love to play on a plash. It will take some time before the ice melts perhaps enough to make the children long for a dry ground.
Oh, no! Blue Snow!
There is no such thing as blue snow but why do I make the snow blue in my pictures? In the world of failed photography I think I succeeded in this. I often get blue snow even if it’s clearly white in reality. I’ve read before that it’s not a good picture of a snow at all. When this failure repeats every now and then I decided to search for answers why it is happening. Fortunately, I found ephotozine‘s website that has an article about why snow appears blue.
Speaking of snow, we had our first real winter of the year past Saturday and the happiest were the children enjoying their ride on the sledges. Finally, this season shows what it’s supposed to show. Though I wish it would be over soon.
Feeling Peppy in the Morning
After the long-holiday break, I went back to work this morning not with a heavy mind and heart but in a somewhat perky mood. It seemed as though I’ve slept tight the night before but I haven’t. I managed to get up early despite a hard sleepless night. I planned to be in bed at half past ten but somnolence seemed not felt until after midnight hours. Despite of this, I woke up feeling peppy and readied for work willingly. I’m not sure it will last throughout the week though because on my way home snow started to fall and disrupted the presence of moderate winter we’ve had.

This winter weather is playing with us, surprising us in our most vulnerable situations. But look how beautiful it is to see the ground white again. I’d rather stay home when it’s snowing though.
