Mind Your Own Ringtone

I wonder how impossible it is to recognize ones ringtone and how likely it is to have the same tune with others. If you make a ringtone that’s different from others then you would know if it’s your phone ringing in the public or not. But if you’re using your phone’s signature melody as a ringtone it’s possible that you’re not alone having it. It’s ridiculous when somebody’s mobile phone rings and you’ll see many people around grope in their bags or pockets to see if it’s their mobile phone ringing.

I’ve never had a ringtone that’s similar to others and if it happens I would definitely change it right away. There are a number of sound clips or music that’s included in the phone but most of the time I upload my own mp3 so that I’d know the songs myself. MP3 ringtones take much space in the phone though. It can be a piece of work editing it, like I did with the song, Popcorn, which I wanted to set for hubby’s call. But I was not satisfied with the outcome so I didn’t use it. I will make another try, this time on Mobile 17 to get the right part of the song I want as a ringtone. Making and minding your own ringtone is a way of giving your mobile phone its distinguished identity.

Smart And Sleek Little Phone

Nokia C7-00

smart and sleek Nokia C7

I thought it was Nokia’s latest mobile phone but it’s not. Mobile phones are conquering the billboards and ad spaces everywhere and everytime there’s a launch for a new one. My eyes can’t elude those large images of a mobile phone and read all the features in haste. Just recently, I saw an advertisement for Nokia C7 that had been set up on bus stop walls. I could tell from what I saw that smart phones are taking over the classic phones we used to have. Your kids might be using small touch phones sooner or later and reach social media in a click of a button. If that will be the case it will not be difficult to find one since the growing demands of smart phones and social media integration would prompt the mobile manufacturers to continually create new ones.

Nokia C7-00 is a good choice if you prefer a smaller design but smart enough to connect you to different social media contacts. I do prefer smaller phones cos they’re handy to have in the pocket though I need a more advanced organizer so this would not be my choice. But the features of Nokia C7-00 are worth more than its cheap price. It’s not only the specs that make this phone interesting but the beautiful design as well. It’s kind of boring when all smartphones look the same. Why not have a stylish design like this Nokia C7-00.

Nokia C7-00 Features:
- Polished stainless steel and glass
- 3.5 high resolution display
- Integrated social networks
- Three customizable home screens
- 8-megapixel camera with secondary cam for video calls

It’s What You Do With Nokia N8

It was from the ad brochure inserted in the newspaper when hubby showed me this Nokia N8 yesterday. We are both mobile-phone freaks, changing phones once in a span of two years or less. But honestly speaking, we don’t own any smartphones yet so we’re a bit off the trend to be called mobile freaks. I did want to get an apple and when hubby saw me browsing my mobile operator’s website to check the phone, he tried to suggest one from the galaxy. The apple was no longer the apple of my eyes when I saw the vibrant light of the galaxy. I went to the mobile shops to see it physically and after knowing the specs and all, I said yes to his proposal. Then he said that I should wait a while cos the galaxy’s OS would be updated with the so-called Android 2.2. Imagine how he ruined my excitement to reach the milky way!

Nokia N8Now comes Nokia N8, a smartphone which according to him, has a good camera and video feature. I’m beginning to wonder what a mobile phone really is for nowadays. I admit I take a lot of photos and listen to music and podcasts, twittering and facebooking with my mobile phone, but videos and HDMI port? Whooo! It’s way over my head how these mobile manufacturers could integrate high definition video function on phones. On the other hand, it’s good to have all your tech-lifestyle needs in one hand rather than grope and hold many devices at the same time.

Though the first mobile phone that hubby bought for me when I first came here was a Nokia, I haven’t used any models of this manufacturer in a long time. I’ve been hooked on SE phones since then. If this Nokia N8 will be my second Nokia phone and my first smartphone, it’s too early to tell. But quite frankly, I like some of the specs of it, aside from its distinctive design. The amoled screen is not as super crisp as that of a galaxy but I think it’s good enough. What’s important is the ease of making a call in one click of a button in the home screen; not to complicate by going to the program list and select blah, blah everytime you make a call.

As of this writing, Nokia N8 is not yet on sale here but it will be available anytime next week. Pre-ordering can be made, however at my mobile operator’s website and through Nokia’s online shop. The cost ranges from 4,600 sek-5,000 sek ($600-$700). And as of this moment, I’m torn between nook and galaxy.
