Speak To My Answering Machines!

I haven’t been out with my friends lately although my Indonesian friend texted me two weeks ago and asked if we could go out with the group on a Saturday. But I could not stand with the crowd in town now that it’s hot so I declined. The weekends are worse when people don’t work and hang out with friends strolling in the city. Incidentally, my close friend called me a few days ago and asked if we could meet this Friday. I haven’t decided yet when we talked cos I was thinking, again, of the jampacked city. But then I thought of buying new, bigger pots for my plants so it’s better to go out with her at the same time.

I was grilling when I thought of sending her a text message to confirm that we could meet on Friday, that’s tomorrow. I knew she was at work so I didn’t call. Just in time when hubby and me were dining, the phone rang. I knew it was her cos nobody calls me with anonymous number. She always calls at a time when we are dining, believe me it happens many times, though I answer the phone sometimes and tell her to call me back. I let the phone rang cos I didn’t want my grill cool or I loose my appetite. I have set the two phones’ answering machines to turn on after five rings. But she didn’t leave a message. Instead, she called many times to my phone and my mobile. Geezz, she can even leave a message to my mobile phone. But no matter where I attached answering machines, it doesn’t work for my friend. She has never realized the use of it, maybe, hehee!

But sorry my dearie, I was so busy chewing and swallowing my delicious barbecue that time. I knew that when we start talking, we can talk forever so I skipped to answer the phones. You could have, at least, left a message on my answering machines. You’re my close friend and I know you’d always want to hear my voice, haha! But leave a message next time and do it for me, will you?
