We didn’t have any plans for a summer vacation, but rather a weekend trip somewhere in the countryside. But this year’s summer weather has been unsteady. One day it’s hot, and the next day it rains. Leif has said before that he wanted us to drive through Germany. So we did. After three years of not being on the travel radar, we finally hit the road again, however briefly.
We tried to avoid the big cities, where tourists usually flock. Instead, we find some smaller cities or towns where we could go for a walk and enjoy the view. To find someplace to eat and have a delightful meal is what we always strive for when we are on vacation. Luckily, we found Schleswig and Middelfart to live up to our expectations.
I realised I took the food photos with my phone, so I might make another post about it. Anyway, we generally strolled through the park or along the waterfront thoughout our little vacation.
