Red Flowers – Ruby Tuesday

13 July 2010 By: Marlene17 Comments

This is my kick-off post for Ruby Tuesday. I’m jumping on the bandwagon of photo enthusiastic bloggers who blogs about something red for Ruby Tuesday’s color motif. I’m fond of anything red for as long as the shade of red is not sharply blinding to the eyes, like neon reds. I have blogged about red gadgets before so some of you may have known the fact already that I am a sucker for anything that’s red. Not only me but probably most ladies are. And guess what made me stop when I walked down the street of houses a week ago…

Red flowers in Karlskrona

Red flowers along the street

I found this beautiful red flower when hubby and I were walking around the small city of Karlskrona. It was somewhat we walked through a country of villas and admired the bountiful colorful blooms right outside and along the street. Surprisingly, no one would ever pick or steal a twig. I used to have a small garden in my hometown when I was a teenager and somebody would steal my flowers. Those envious neighbors of mine who couldn’t plant their own.

This one looks like sprouting from the bare rock wall. Not really cos it’s soil on the ground. The red flower makes the wall decorative though.

You may find the Ruby Tuesday badge in the sidebar. Feel free to click on.

Yes, I thought so too. I’m joining RT whenever I have something red to post.

I love looking at the photos of others! I was taught by a photographer I knew that this is one of the best ways of getting better yourself. Beautiful red flowers!

I agree, Shelly. I read photoblogs more often and I’m learning from them. Thanks.

great shots. Its funny I used to not like red because I didn’t think it looked good on me,(strawberry blond) then i got over it. now it is my favorite color as well. I need to get back into photography I miss it.

I think it depends on the shade of red. I don’t like sharp red cos it harms my eyes.

Red really attracts the eyes and demands attention like those lovely flowers in your photo.

That’s true. That’s why one of the color of stop light is red because it attracts and demands attention. Its very visible even at night.

Beautiful! What’s the name of that flower? I love the color. Given the chance, I might pick it as long as no one’s watching ah haha, buking! Sana lang I have green thumb, most of the time kasi, after few months or years, namamatay yung mga itinanim ko. 🙁

Hehee, di ko talaga alam ang pangalan sa karamihan sa mga bulaklak dito. Ang sarap ngang pitasin pero nahiya ako sa asawa ko. Baka pati siya ay magtago na rin sa hiya.
