Rainbow spectacle

23 June 2007 By: Marlene5 Comments

Rainbow Connection

There are many theories, experiments and explanations about the rainbow’s here now-gone tomorrow presence in the sky. There are many questions still unanswered about it. We learned that a rainbow has seven colors, but the rainbow I captured (above) seemed to have three colors only, yet the seven colors were there, blending with one another.

Whenever I see a rainbow, I always find myself humming the song “Rainbow Connection”. Nice song about rainbows. When I was small, my old folks told me to not to point at the rainbow or I would lose my finger. I knew it was ridiculous ‘coz nothing happened when I did it. Yes, hearsays, literature and myths about rainbows still exist. But there is one clear reason why rainbows appear – to remind us that it’s one of the beauties of nature worth conceiving.

I never heard that one. Superstitions are fascinating. Wonder how that one got started? 🙂

Yes Adria, I wonder, too. Old folks in our place are full of superstitions that even them don’t know how they started 🙂
