One Night At Jack’s Ridge

25 August 2009 By: Marlene25 Comments

I heard about Jack’s Ridge Resort and Restaurant when hubby and I were in Davao City two years ago.  If it was quite new or wasn’t opened for the public yet, I can’t remember but we just shunned the idea of visiting the place.  In our previous trip to Davao (my hometown), however, we took the chance to went up the hills of Matina by a taxi to where Jack’s Ridge is located.

The pictures were taken by hubby and like me, his desperate desire to become a certified photographer failed to produce satisfactory results.  Anyway, the place has a lot to offer to visiting tourists and locals.  From cottages and conference halls to the luscious delights of foods and drinks.  Not bad for a site once the headquarter of the Japanese troops during World War II.   Jack’s Ridge Resort And Restaurant is definitely worth a drive uphill when you’re in Davao City.

That was the thought in the beginning, though I didn’t consider about earning from blogging. This is something to think about. Thanks for the good tip. And you won’t be surprise when someday this blog becomes a travel blog. 🙂

But the place he is referring is now becoming nothing but a concrete jungle. Mumbai is getting messy.

Jack’s Ridge is a wonderful place. I went there a few times when I was in Davao City. It was a good place for coffee and dinner with friends. And if I wanted a place for a drink, it was also a good choice. At time when I needed a break, I would also go up there and just looked at the view. It has been more than two years already, the place must have changed quite a lot too.

BK, you’ve been to JR before us. And good to know you like the place. I don’t know how it was before, but I can assure you that there must be some changes now. I like to go up there in the day though, cos it’s not crowded than at nights.

Ganun ba. May friend ako dito na taga-Antipolo. Sana balang araw makapunta din ako sa dun, at siya gusto niya makita ang Davao. Nice siguro kapag nakita ang MM from above.
