It rained for two days but it didn’t totally melt the ice that’s been on the ground for weeks. We probably need more heavy rains to make all these disappear. Almost all the school grounds are packed with ice this winter and the small kids love it. They must thought they don’t need to go to a skating rink to ride skates on, though wearing skates at school is not allowed. But it’s delightful to watch them glide or slide on the ice with their winter shoes. It’s not so dangerous to walk on ice now cos the footpath and sidewalk are gravelled. I can go without wearing shoe spikes at least.
I took these pics while I was waiting for my students yesterday. Some kids must have missed their dry ground that they tried to play football. It’s one way of having fun on ice, anyway.
With all those ice, the playground looks so slippery (and cold off course).
Yes, and I don’t dare to walk on the ice. I’m afraid I’d trip.
I hope i would have been in such a place, I love playing in ice. But turning off the schools and other things made it look a disguise. Hope heavy rains do come.
I hope so, too, cos I’ve had enough of this kind of weather.
Do you recommend visiting Sweden? I have heard so many great things about the country. The next time I go to Europe I will try and pass through Sweden. I remember all of the ice when I lived in Pennsylvania. Be careful.

Sure! There’s a lot to see in Sweden and your visit will be worth it.
wonderful…. so much ice for so many days is fun for the skaters… and for the people watching them…
Yes, like me. 🙂
I just watch them and it’s enjoyable.
