Old Artifact or Simple Stone Art?

| 8 June 2012 | 3 Comments

This must be the simplest stone art I’ve ever seen, if it really is. Quite frankly I’m not sure if it’s an ancient stone artifact or just plain stone art made to adorn a place. We see strange but impressive things when we are travelling and this makes it more exciting. It’s also easy to notice things that we don’t see in our own place.

stone art along Aci Castello in Catania

We came across this stone art or artifact while we were strolling along the street of Aci Castello in Catania. It’s undoubtedly simple but it attracts attention. We must have missed the inscription somewhere on the stone. Whatever it is, this stone remains indescribable to me.

It is surely an interesting sculpture. To me, it first looked like a primitive knife carved out of stone.

Aww! I realized that now. I didn’t see it that way but it really looked like a knife used by old folks.

Very interesting sculpture. I makes me think of a prehistoric tooth.
