Good-looking risotto? Maybe. But looks could be deceiving. As you can see, it looks like some porridge with very little water, but too sticky to be a risotto. I could eat some of the seafood though.
Just because we arrived quite late in the evening in Nimes, France we couldn’t find a restaurant that’s close to the hotel. The hotel’s restaurant was already closed for the evening so we went out and looked around for a place where we could eat. We were glad to find one but the experience was nevertheless disappointing. Not only the food that didn’t live up to our expectation but the service as well.
This is probably the disadvantage of travelling – dining in a local restaurant that you know nothing about. But good or bad, can always be charged up to experience.
