New WordPress Theme Modified

2 November 2007 By: Marlene5 Comments

My changeable mind has got me again.  One day, I just thought of having a 3-column theme for unknown reasons.  The fact that I only had my previous theme uploaded last month.  Would I be changing themes monthly? I hope not.  But modifying a theme is a hobby that offers a challenge to me.   I get to learn new things about CSS and Php. Since I have a self-hosted WordPress blog engine, I can only use WordPress Themes.  It’s easy to find sites that offer WP themes and there are plenty of them. But choosing a theme that has the right structure I want is the hardest.

This theme I am using now is called zigzag3 by Sadish.  I liked it the first time I saw it because it has some useful features that are not in other themes I tried or browsed.  The structure is not only for blogging but for personal site as well.  I am pretty sure this is the kind of theme I’ve been looking for.  Furthermore, this theme cost me a fortune just a drop in a bucket.

The colour scheme.  On my way home one October day, I saw withered leaves scattered on the ground.  They were orange-brownish. It reminded me that autumn’s finally here and cold, gray days would soon embrace this land.  I remembered those colors when I modified this theme.

That is an interesting color combination for the ZigZag3.

Keep up the good work !

but when you said, “this theme cost me a fortune”, does it mean it is priced high?

I guess I expressed it wrongly when I just mean that I bought this theme. It’s not actually priced high. I have seen some commercial themes (sites) that are priced exorbitantly. My apology for expressing it the wrong way.

Thank you, Shanker, for dropping by. Me, I fell in love to wordpress after learning it. Actually, I am getting addicted to modifying themes but I wish I could make my own someday. Now I know I’m not the only one who’s crazy 🙂 I would love to see your new domain and maybe we could exchange links. Good luck and happy blogging!
