May Mayday!

18 May 2009 By: Marlene17 Comments

busy me!I want this month of May over. The sooner the better.  How can I do that?  If only I can throw all my paperworks in a large bin right now.  It’s always like this when schools are about to end for summer vacation that I feel like I’m getting short on free time.  Though sometimes I think it’s my job (being a teacher) to blame for.  While the students are impatiently waiting for their final grades, I and my colleagues are stressing out to get everything done before the deadline.  And the administrators are like torturing us with demands, hand in this and that.  This month is a total dilemma cos no matter how I plan ahead I will still end up in a roundabout of workloads.

First things first but which is which.  A sandwhich maybe would help me recharge my energy a little bit.  I still have a pile of exam papers to check.  A course plan to submit to my superiors.  And the setting out of grades, which is the most crucial of all paperworks I’m dealing with now.  I am in a situation where I want to scream for help.  Mayday! Mayday!

My blogging routine has been temporarily affected but the computer is just hard to resist.  As we are obliged to do and submit all paperworks electronically, I can’t help but sneak a short time for blogging.  But it’s not giving me a stress-free time after.  I think I should end now before the situation gets worse.

Ugh, May. I always wonder what I have less of in May–money or time. I think time is the hardest to lose. Know that you are not alone in the craziness known as May–we’re going through the same thing here too!

I can totally relate to your sentiments, sis! At least ikaw, tuwing end of school year lang super busy. Ako kasi bilang Quality Assurance Coordinator sa call center, naku every month bombarded kami lalo na bago matapos ang buwan. Ang damind deadline na dapat ma-meet, reposrts, coaching sa mga agents and all. Hay nakakaloka! Minsan nakaisip na akong mag-resign. sawa na rin ako magpuyat sa gabi e.

Pero tama ka, never stop blogging no matter how busy you are. kaya natin to, sis!

Kumbaga, Yes we can!

May day signifies the day of the working class. All those who work, especially those not in the executive or management cadre, irrespective of whether they work in factories, offices, banks, other organisations etc., celebrate May day. This practice originally started in the erstwhile Soviet Union, and subsequently spread to other areas of the world.

Oh, my, I didn’t know May day is a celebration, too. I thought it’s just a call for help from the warcraft many years ago. But thanks for sharing this valuable info.

Yes, job/s are stressful most of the times specially for me in past. And I quit. And I am happy.

Parang bigla kong na-miss mag check ng exam papers, haha.
