Lunar Eclipse In Sight

I was sipping my mug of tea while flipping through the newspaper pages this morning when a small square of article caught my eyes. It says the moon will be partially darkened by the earth by midnight between Saturday and Sunday. I hope this translation of mine is good enough to be understood as the newspaper is in Swedish. I said to myself it could be Lunar eclipse this time. And so it will be. I became fascinated with eclipses after I witnessed the real total one many years ago in Davao. The thought of witnessing a different eclipse made me so excited and even thought of using my sunglasses – at midnight? Lol! This must be the craziest thing that my mind had ever conceived.

Just this summer I bought three pairs of sunglasses solely for the purpose of protecting my eyes from the invigorating rays of the sun. I have astigmatism and my eyes easily get tired in the sticking sunlight. I even use contact lenses when I wear sunglasses or otherwise I can’t see at all, hahaha! Why three when one is enough, you may wonder. I could not decide which one should I buy and so when I did I regretted the purchase after a couple of days. Until I ended up having three pairs. One pair I actually bought from Berlin which I thought they fit my nose. :-)

I am supposed to be talking about the Lunar eclipse but here I am bragging my polarized sunglasses which I haven’t got a single chance to use them yet. I can’t blame me for not using them, but blame the weather.  Anyway, this is my first time to witness a Lunar eclipse and I don’t want to miss it or I will wait for the next occurrence in 2010.

Nose and sunglasses! I hear you sister. Finding the right pair that won’t slip down our dainty noses are a must! Don’t worry, you’re not alone in this. I have 4 pairs. 2 for driving and two for casual use. If you have a 4 y.o daughter, it is a must! she broke so many sunglasses, I lost track. Happy weekend and enjoy the eclipse.

Yes, sister, it goes with the nose, hehee. I’ve seen some who doesn’t really care and it looks stupid ba.

    • Marlene says:

But I don’t think I will indulge myself in collecting sunglasses.

Little James Bond kaya.
