I was sipping my mug of tea while flipping through the newspaper pages this morning when a small square of article caught my eyes. It says the moon will be partially darkened by the earth by midnight between Saturday and Sunday. I hope this translation of mine is good enough to be understood as the newspaper is in Swedish. I said to myself it could be Lunar eclipse this time. And so it will be. I became fascinated with eclipses after I witnessed the real total one many years ago in Davao. The thought of witnessing a different eclipse made me so excited and even thought of using my sunglasses – at midnight? Lol! This must be the craziest thing that my mind had ever conceived.
Just this summer I bought three pairs of sunglasses solely for the purpose of protecting my eyes from the invigorating rays of the sun. I have astigmatism and my eyes easily get tired in the sticking sunlight. I even use contact lenses when I wear sunglasses or otherwise I can’t see at all, hahaha! Why three when one is enough, you may wonder. I could not decide which one should I buy and so when I did I regretted the purchase after a couple of days. Until I ended up having three pairs. One pair I actually bought from Berlin which I thought they fit my nose. 🙂
I am supposed to be talking about the Lunar eclipse but here I am bragging my polarized sunglasses which I haven’t got a single chance to use them yet. I can’t blame me for not using them, but blame the weather. Anyway, this is my first time to witness a Lunar eclipse and I don’t want to miss it or I will wait for the next occurrence in 2010.
Sunglasses really protect your eyes from UV, I remember pa nun pang may eclipse eh ung gamit ng nagwewelding ang hiram natin just to see the little moon..
Parang ang bigat naman nun. Buti ka may nahiram na ganun. Ako walang sunglasses at walang welder sa malapit. 🙁
Nose and sunglasses! I hear you sister. Finding the right pair that won’t slip down our dainty noses are a must! Don’t worry, you’re not alone in this. I have 4 pairs. 2 for driving and two for casual use. If you have a 4 y.o daughter, it is a must! she broke so many sunglasses, I lost track. Happy weekend and enjoy the eclipse.
Yes, sister, it goes with the nose, hehee. I’ve seen some who doesn’t really care and it looks stupid ba.
I collect sunglasses ahaha. I already got 30 pairs. Souns BV opps Len? cheers!
But I don’t think I will indulge myself in collecting sunglasses. Oo, BV nga ito hehee!
Hello friend sorry if you see olympics all over my blog… I am just riding on the traffic that olympics could bring to my blog hehehe…
So far so good as it bring thousands head and big jump to my adsense earnings..
Di kasi ako parating mag paid post opps eh. 🙂
Ah, kaya pala.
Little James Bond kaya.
