Loreen Makes Everybody Euphoric!
Congratulations Loreen and Sweden for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2012!

I’ve been a fan of Eurovision Song Contest since I came here. The first time I witnessed the show was in 2000 when Sweden was the host apparently for winning the year before that. I’ve learned that it’s customary for the winning country to host the following event. Basically, this will be my second time to see Sweden host the ESC.
Back to Loreen, her song has been a good choice even from the local Eurovision (Melodifestival) where many artists compete in a song contest to win a post at the Euro-wide competition, ESC. Loreen garnered the highest points, thus, gave her the task to represent Sweden in Baku, Azerbaijan. Fortunately, she didn’t disappoint her country. Fourty-two countries voted and she got points from all except Italy. Lol! But it wasn’t a big lost cos Sweden was already soaring high before the declaration of votes ended.
Loreens song, Euphoria, is a kind of music that sticks in the memory, and that even before you know it, you’re humming the song to no reason. Not only that, the melody and the lyrics are perfectly blended together and give an unforgettable sound. Behind the mellow tune hides the words of intense happiness. That’s Euphoria. And I’m euphoric about Loreen’s winning performance. Grattis än en gång!

That is really cool. And looks like fun too. wish we had something like that here.
It’s so much fun when your country is winning, hehee!
She was the favorite to win too…quite unusual for the favorite to win. It is a fun event….I thought the Russian Grannies were so funny and they did quite well too.
Yes, that was the talk here, too, before the final and she just kept her calm. The Russians came in second, but for a change, Eurovision is not just for the young ones, hehee.
