Let There Be No Light

28 March 2009 By: Marlene14 Comments

Did you turn off your lights for Earth Hour?  I was quite agog at hearing about this particular event.  I wanted to see how our place would look like when the households’ lights were turned off.  Here’s what I saw hours before EH and an hour of EH.

Earth Hour

The actual Earth Hour

It wasn’t totally dark but at least there were people who really cared even for just an hour. Did the earth win in your place?

I was not at home during the Earth Hour but was delighted to know that many people turned their lights off during this event. I hope I can participate next time. Hehehe.

Hehee, means we can’t live without our computer. But it’s a good start by turning off our lights.

Oh yeah, we participated the movement. We turn off everything and stayed in one room using scented candle.

Abhishek, I wasn’t in the city, too. At least we didn’t need to go out to participate.

I was actually surprised to hear that Philippines had the most number of cities who participated.. I was surprised when I got home that time, it was dark in our alley,,

last year I was campaigning it, but now they joined automatically ^^

That’s good news! I’ve read in a newspaper that the big cities in the Phil had participated. In Davao, even the Mayor initiated the participation (at the park).

    Mhy,

We participated in the Earth Hour but I told my wife that we should do it more often. For one, the heat is on here in the Philippines. Turning all the lights on will really increase the heat.
