Kinect? What Is It?

30 November 2010 By: Marlene12 Comments

First I saw two young ladies at the mall doing some aerobic steps but they were so lousy that I laughed and I thought these girls were making a fool out of themselves. Then I saw the TV screen in front of them and I found out that they were mimicking those steps from what they saw on the screen. It looked like an exhibit of something so I looked around their booth and read the big sign: KINECT. Kinect? What is it? I asked myself. I didn’t bother to find answers to my querries and completely ignored it.

But days ago when I was at the other mall, I saw a girl mimicking a bowling game on the TV in front of her. It was both silly and funny cos she was like throwing the ball to hit the pins when she wasn’t actually holding a ball but I saw on the TV that the ball ran towards the pin and – hit! She did it again and again and she looked like she was enjoying it. Then I saw the sign, Kinect again. Really? Watch this and you will see…

If you own an Xbox 360 then you can use it to play Kinect Games. The games list includes sports, fitness, dance, action and more. It says that you are the controller when you play it. Kinect uses a sensor to track your movement. It recognizes you and responds to your moves and even listens to your voice. It sounds like a wholesome idea to do with the whole family or group of friends. What do you think?

the best thing about kinect is , you move your body instead of the fingers on the game pad . so u get some workout while playing

I think this game can be used as a fun and exciting way to exercise right? Really a good and clever idea from the creators.
