I was on the bus when I turned on my mobile’s radio and it was just in time for news broadcasting. Then I heard that Barack Obama won the election with a heaping 62 million votes and said it never happened in the US election that a political candidate reached that enormous number of votes. Barack Obama has won the hearts of America with his famous slogan, Yes, we can!
When I came home, I rushed to my news site and there I saw the video where Obama had delivered his speech as the winner and as the new President of America. It was kind of emotional when some people couldn’t help but weep while listening to Barack. It was definitely a weep for joy. If only Martin Luther King were alive today, he would say that his dreams had come true in the person of Barack Obama. His one dream – to live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character – has now a living evidence in the victory of Barack Obama.
I have watched films where colored skin actor like Morgan Freeman played the role as the President. Now is not a film but a reality and a history for the United States of America to have Barack Obama as President. And the world will never forget this day.

Congratulations, Barack Obama!
My, first of all- your new look- ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! it’s really pretty, and I wonder where you get the time to do this bautiful makeover!
secondly, I am thrilled for Obama’s vixtory as well. He sure deserve the win big time, and most of all, knowing he has a little blood ties in Asia is even more exciting!
Farah, thank you, dear. I do it in my little spare time.
Yes, and we can only wait for what he can do to change the world, that is, if he can.
Am back here after long time – and glad to see marlene again turn her creativity into pink. Good to see.

Obama Wins
Welcome back, buddy. I know you’ve been busy with your site’s new look.
Change is the only permanent thing in this world.
I am not an American but I am super-duper proud of his win. At last, racial-barrier has been eradicated! Long live America. 🙂
Welcome to Potpourri, Snow.
We are one of those who are happy about Obama’s victory. This is an example that racial barrier will soon banish.
Mhy,
First of all nagulat na naman ako sa theme mo. Second, I really admire both guys for showing great respect for each other. Napansin ko lang idol ni Obama si King. Maraming quotes ni King ang ginamit nya sa campaign.
Jess, nagkaroon kasi ng konting time kaya eto, hehee.
Idol pala niya si King. Kaya naman pala, parang gusto niyang i-prove na maging totoo yung dream ni King dati.
I’m somewhat happy that Obama won. I don’t know why..I have the feeling of a better change.
Joy, me too. It’s a different feeling knowing that Obama is not pure American, di ba.
Hi My! I like the new look in your Potpourri, congrats.
The victory of Barack Obama indeed was being followed and watched by not only Americans but the whole world. And true enough by what you mentioned, Martin Luther King’s dream has now become a reality in the person of newly-elected American president. I’d like to quote here a very nice post of Joe Klein last Nov. 5, saying that America “… may no longer be as dominant, economically or diplomatically, as it once was. But it is younger, more optimistic, less cynical. It is a country that retains its ability to startle the world – and in a good way, with our freedom. It is a place, finally, where the content of our President’s character is more important than the color of his skin.” God bless America and God bless the whole world.
Anaa! Long time no blog! Howdy? I’ll visit your blog later. Very striking message of Joe Klein, indeed.
I was so excited by the news too! YES WE CAN!
Btw, I love the new layout! :O)
Rozie, the whole blogosphere has been talking about Obama’s victory. So excited, dear. Thanks…
Mhy,
Happy Weekend Len. Labay ko.
Happy weekend, sad Joy, hehee. Palabay na sad ta anig another weekend.
If I were American, I would have voted for him too. 🙂
Ako rin, Amor. Buti na lang at kahit di tayo nakaboto ay panalo pa rin siya, hehee.
