This is the first Coca-Cola bottle I remember very well when I was little. The bottle has changed in size and color label through the years, but not the famous contour bottle which was designed by Earl R. Dean in 1915. This means that Coke is older than me, lol! When I was about 7 years old, my aunts would asked me to buy a bottle of Coke in the neighborhood’s little store. It cost only 75¢ then. But the bottles above cost much when hubby and me bought them about 4 years ago or more. It was for some kind of a special event for Coke or something. We thought it would be a good token for the old Coca-Cola bottle. And my little Ted’s been watching peacefully over them.

When we were expecting our son Aditya to come in this world my wife shivani used to drink energy drink FANTA a lot. I am surprise to see now that my son who is three years old now crazy about this drink FANTA. Do these things also be a part of Heredity.
What say ?
Jan @ Bold & Free says
I think so. I like the same foods my dad does and my kids like the same stuff I do. Odd.
Marlene says
There must be some explanation to that, Shanker. The connection between pregnancy and what the child do later is a mystery to me.

Nick Phillips says
That’s the same kind of bottle we had in my younger days too. It would cost 35 cents and if we returned the empty bottle to the store we would back 5 cents. Those were the days 😀
Marlene says
That’s cheap! I remember we had to pay extra as deposit and get it back when we return the bottle. That’s why we could never keep any bottle, hehee.
Amy-Happy Momma says
If only we had realized the value of those bottles…!:D
Happy WW!
Marlene says
I should have saved plenty for my collections, Amy, hehee! Your site has a lot of infos. It must be a business site, huh.
Rozella says
Wow, that is so cool!
Btw, I have an award for you. 🙂
Marlene says
Thanks, Rozella. I’ll claim it later, dear.
Jan @ Bold & Free says
I remember drinking right out of the bottle. The soda machines dispensed it for $.25. Happy WW
Marlene says
Imagine how cheap it was before. It tastes better right out of the bottle, lol!

I don’t remember how much does coke costs during my time, pero definitely kapanahunan ko rin yung ganyang bottle, hehe. Ang dami na ngang klase ng coke sa tinagal tagal ng panahon, meron ng light may zero pa, kelan kaya magkaroon ng negative. As in kapag ininom mo, mababawasan ka ng calorie, hehe.
Marlene says
Oo nga, Amor. Hehee, parang malabo yata yang iniisip mo, friend. Ako naman hanap ko, kapag ininom, madagdagan weight ko, hahaa! But I don’t like the lasa of coke vanilla.
Farah says
that’s really cute. Are you still collecting the coke bottles? AT home, I used to collect similar thing- just that I collect coke cans from across the world, different sizes and of course different writing. i think it’s interesting.
Marlene says
Farah, I only have those two bottles. Oh, coke cans are cool, too. I never thought of it, though.
