Grand View From The Sky

| 6 April 2012 | 2 Comments

When you’re on the plane you’ll see grounds that are amazing and that you’ll never want to miss capturing it in a video. Different shapes form from above which are sometimes hard to grasp. I always look throught the window when the plane I’m on is moving closer to land. It is more awesome when I can see clouds float over the ground. It’s like flying among the clouds.

This video clip was taken when we were onboard KLM on the way to Rome’s Da Vinci Airport. A brief stop-over from there before we headed to Catania, Sicily. Anyhow, I thought it looked grand from the sky so I grabbed my Nokia N8 and record this short video. It was winter and this part of Italy looked white all over and its mountainous land showed high tops in white. Amazing!

It’s surprising to learn, too, how slow the plane moves up there. There’d be no way I could capture this sight if it flew fast. It’s just how you feel when you’re on the plane. Moving slow yet fast. But no matter how fast or slow it moved I enjoyed the view from where I was sitting and looking down at the window on a snowy mountain tops was breathtaking.

Nice footage, Marlene! Very beautiful mountain ranges down there. Since you mentioned Sicily, are these the Alps?
