Give Away A Digicam

26 June 2010 By: Marlene13 Comments

I often get an email offer from online stores which I am subscribed to. Sometimes I just ignore the offer especially if it’s an offer about garden or carpentry tools. Deleted. When this camera was one of the summer offerings I was surprised how cheap it was. The brand is a bit fuzzy though cos I never heard about it before. But I thought it’s a good gift to a grader. As good as his/her first digital camera may be.

I think I have found something to recommend to my colleague who’s daughter asked if she could have her own camera this summer. If I have a kid, I would have this for her/him, too. I won’t mind the brand, after all, it’s a digicam. I don’t know where this camera is manufactured from either. I can’t seem to find it online. My online store has just a variety of affordable products and this is one of them. It costs not more than $80, compared to the leading digital camera brands out there. Check below the specs and say what you think.

Skypix Digital Camera
5.0 megapixel
8x digital zoom
640×480 and 320×240 resolution video
Black and white effect
2.4″ LCD screen
Supports SD card-4GB

Maybe it is cheap because when I looked at the description, they seem to be outdated. Take for example:

    5.0mp? today’s camera is already 8mp.
    640x840resolution? today is 1200 resolution.
    2.4″LCD? Today is already 3″LCD.

But having said this, if we are not really into good camera but prefer a simple one, this camera can be a good bargain.

    Have a nice day.

It’s a a good gift for kids nga. Marami na ring murang digicams dito sa atin eh, less than 5k. Yung ibang name, never heard din, pero okay lang sigurong i-try.

Sean loves to take pictures too, kung anu-ano. He would use my cp camera or our digicam. So minsan nakakaktakot baka mabagsak or something, but he says careful naman daw sya.

Kung anu-anong brands na nga ang lumalabas ngayon. Mabuti naman at maingat si Sean. Mahirap nang masira kaagad, magastos.

not a bad start for a kid, but if they are serious and want will keep at it, i might get them something they can grow into too, but still simple. that probably means, to me, a name brand. doesn’t have to be canon or nikon just something with a little history behind it. 🙂

I would prefer something better, too, if it’s a serious hobby of a kid. There are Kodak and Sony which are also good brands.
