Feeling Good With My New Theme

7 July 2008 By: Marlene14 Comments

I should have uploaded this theme earlier yesterday but my headache prevented me from sitting in front of my computer longer. I’m having a little cold despite the 25-degree temperature. Maybe I got this when I went out with my friend, the one who doesn’t like to leave a message on my answering machine, it was a warm day but too cold inside the malls. Why can’t I stop complaining about cold and hot, lol!

Anyway, here’s my new theme called stitched 1.0 courtesy of Sudoku, must be Japanese. I found this while browsing for themes at the WordPress Theme Viewer Site. It’s not that easy to choose a theme but I decided to have a 3-column theme this time. I actually had to choose between this and the other one almost similar to this, but I find this one’s easy to modify. In fact, I didn’t modify the colors so much except for the sidebars. I also increased the width of the left sidebar instead of having an equal width for both. This made the center layer smaller in width, too, which I preferred than the usual width. The rest is a simple modification needed to make this theme work for my site.  The outcome is more of a feminine look than my previous theme.  This is more like what the name, Potpourri suggests.  Hope so. 🙂

WordPress is getting better and the best improvement in 2.5.1 version is the ability to update outdated plugins in the plugins page itself. I still have much to learn in this new version and am taking it one step at a time. So far, the plugins I’m using work fine and it’s a relief.  Otherwise, I had to spend time looking for compatible ones.

Cool looking new theme 😀 It suits the title of your blog. I’m too afraid to make a total theme change for myself … hehehe …

Nick, your theme is fine, no need to change though. It’s just that I’m bored with my previous theme, lol!

Joy, editing theme is really tedious. I’m thankful I have enough time now that it’s summer, hehee.

Shanker, thanks. I don’t think I am that artistic. Art is only in my imagination. 🙂
