Donald Duck On Christmas Eve

I don’t want to miss Kalle Anka (Donald Duck) so I thought of preparing everything for the Christmas Eve dinner earlier.  This TV show has been inscribed in my mind that Christmas Eve is nothing without Donald Duck.  Not until two years ago when I realised that watching Donald Duck on Christmas Eve has been a tradition here since it was first showed in 1959.  Who would believe such tradition exists in some parts of the world? And to think that Donald Duck is a show for children.  Weird but when the clock strikes 3pm, the streets are as quiet as the midnight hours when the people are asleep.  But guess what they do.  They sit glued in front of the TV watching Donald Duck, so do hubby and me.

Hubby has grown up with watching Donald Duck on Christmas Eve. To him it’s as normal as having a ham at a Christmas dinner. And many have passed this tradition to their children and grand children so that when some of them are asked what Christmas is all about, the children would reply, it’s about Donald Duck (Kalle Anka), lol!
