Do I Like Dim Sum Mix?

| 12 October 2011 | 10 Comments

My friend and colleague took me to a restaurant that she’d heard had Siomai on the menu a few weeks ago. I don’t want to divulge the name of the restaurant because we were kind of disappointed of the food we got. She said she asked some people about this resto and all she heard was positive feedback and food satisfaction. It’s the reason why she brought me there. We were not quite sure what we’d order so the waitress recommended a Dim Sum Mix since it had Siomai in it after all. It saved us time to browse the menu.

Dim Sum Mix

It turned out that what we ordered was not what we expected. It wasn’t that bad but it’s just not the kind of Dim Sum Mix we used to have in Asia. And the taste was not so appealing, too. Really a disappointment. Maybe we just ordered the wrong food. It costed 500+ sek but I could not complain about the price cos the bill was on her, lol! Nonetheless, I wanted to tell her that I didn’t like this Dim Sum Mix. Neither did she.

It is quite disappointing when you try and new place and it just isn’t what you were expecting.

  5. Nothing compares to siomai being sold here in the Philippines. Street food siomai tastes good too in here teacher Marlene. Why not come home here in the Phlippines and try it.!

Dimsum is one of my favorite dishes. It is unfortunate that the restaurant could not prepare it properly but good thing you didn’t have to pay for it, lol. My favorite type of dimsum is the momo, which I think originated in Tibet or Nepal. I love eating momos with Schezwan sauce.

You seem to know a lot about dimsum. It was my first time to try but since you mentioned another type of dimsum, I may try it again.
