Dining In A Restaurant 13 Years After The First

4 August 2014 By: Marlene2 Comments

We stayed at Hotel Scandic Odense on our first wedding anniversary. It had come to my knowledge that Odense is the third largest city of Denmark. It was a brief trip we did on our anniversay so we didn’t exactly have a view on what the city looked like. But the hotel’s location is quite outside the city and we liked the peaceful ambience in a late summer’s day. Our first stop on our recent road trip was in Odense. And we thought we would stay overnight at Hotel Scandic Odense.

Even this time we did not see much of the city but we felt the hotel seemed exactly the same as when we were there 13 years ago. I will write more of the hotel in a separate post. Moreso, one thing that’s still clear on my mind is how the restaurant looks now. After 13 years, it has never changed! We had our anniversary dinner here and I could still remember the spot. So we sat at the same table and enjoyed our meal while at the same time reminisced the old scenario at the restaurant.

One thing for sure, Denmark serves good food. So good that it gets sinfully delicious at times. Even in pubs or lunch restaurants your gastronomic desires will be satisfied.

We had the entire restaurant for ourselves alone because we arrived late in the afternoon. We had light meals and waited until it served dinner.

The restaurant at Hotel Scandic Odense makes a nice place for a romantic dinner combined with delicious food and perhaps a bottle of good wine to complete the dinner date.

I am curious to know the menu served excluding potatoes.
And congratulations for your first wedding anniversary.

That’s some kind of a fish and bearnaise butter. Very nice.
