Compact DSLR Camera

21 May 2010 By: Marlene22 Comments

Have you ever thought of buying a DSLR camera but have second thoughts because of its colossal heavy size? The quality of the system camera is way too ingenious than compact digital cameras. But those small digicams are easier to carry around that’s why some people are stuck with the idea of keeping it. Believe me, I haven’t taken hubby’s huge cam when I go out with my friends. It would be heavier than my handbag and much more the same hanging from my neck. I’d rather slide my good old digicam in my handbag. Well, maybe it’s  about time for you and me to keep up on the latest digital cams in the market today. Why not peek on Sony Nex-3A, the compact digital camera with interchangeable lens.

With this Sony Nex-3A, you can shoot pictures with DSLR-like quality and capture stunning HD videos. It’s brilliantly easy to use, no complicated buttons and menus. I fancy this red one but for non- red suckers, there’s black and silver for you. Available in shops come June. The preliminary price here is 5,600sek. Hmm, that would be $700 more or less. Ack!

Nice review Marlene, a good one. As a photographer you always understand better than me and I hope next time you put a hand on review to increase our knowledge.

Thank you. I’ve learned about cameras from hubby and I’m hoping to learn more. I must say I’m still not an expert on this.

This segment of digital cameras is a very interesting segment where they try to include the features of the DSLR cameras into the small digicams. By the way, I am interested about the zoom of this one. I mean the optical zoom. You have mentioned 10x precision digital zoom (I’m not sure if precision digital zoom is same as the optical zoom).

About the optical zoom, it depends on the lens. The lens that comes with the camera has a fixed focal length of 16 mm. In other words no zoom. There are 2 other lenses available. 18-55 mm with 3.1x zoom and 18-200 mm with 11.1x zoom.

      Thank you for asking.

Thanks. Btw, I have written a post about it too, along with some history and tech terms about these compact DSLRs. Well, the CommentLuv is linking to that post.

We’ve been thinking of buying these kinds of camera. Imagine, the power of DSLR and the convenience of Point and Shoot camera, all-in-one package. I’m not a professional photographer and i don’t need an DSLR.

I love the color! I haven’t seen that here yet, eh kasi pala sa June pa. I’m planning to buy a new Sony digicam kaso walang stock yung red color na gusto ko, black lang, pero pwede na. Wish ko lang DSLR na yun, kaso super mahal nun, di kaya ng budget hehe. Parang gusto ko tuloy abangan to, magkano kaya aabutin to dito.

Naku, hintayin mo na lang ito para solid na’ng digicam mo. Compact na, may dslr quality pa. At ang gaing pa ng video nito.
