I can see brighter days coming as winter days slowly making exit. Nothing would entice me to pick up the newspaper in the morning but the weather news which is on the last page. The day today is 1 hour and 23 minutes longer since the winter solstice on December 22. It gets better and better each day. I went home after my last class at 4:00 PM today and that was when I noticed it was still – day. That’s because the sunset would show up at 4:23 PM, according to the newspaper. It’s seemingly different from last month’s day-lengths, as shown in the pic that hubby took of one of those short days.
Despite of these changes though, I still have a hard time getting up in the morning. When I can’t see a hint of sunlight through the window blinds I’m tempted to sleep more, only to wake up late. Hubby’s extra job every morning is to help me get out of bed before he heads for work. And if that kind of help is not enough, he calls me a couple of times to make sure I’m up and running. This is, otherwise, not the case when the days are brighter and longer. But for now, I wish brighter days would come quickly.
