Alluring Lights In Winter Nights

1 December 2009 By: Marlene34 Comments

It’s December again!  It’s this time of year again when we think about gifts-hunting, gifts-giving and of course gifts-receiving, lol!  A mother of my student asked me yesterday if I’d already bought gifts for Christmas.  I said no and she also said she hadn’t bought any either.  We both laughed because we thought it’d be best to go and buy at the last hour when we wouldn’t need to choose and think but just pick what’s left by the rushers.  Anyway, the stores will always be there waiting for us so no hurry.

But if I can’t find anything to give because I am too lazy to look around in the stores, there’s a gift that I thought would be amusing to both children and adults, except maybe to my 80+ year old mother-in-law.  How about a free entrance ticket to this amusement park where its lights have been alluring the people for three weeks now.  It is grandiosely lighted inside and one will forget about how dark it is in the winter.  The children will surely love the different figures of lights like the tree below.

Hubby and I were just outside when we took this picture that’s why there’s a shade of another tree or something in front of the lighted one.  Oh, how I absolutely love the lights in this place!

This is the part of the amusement park just outside its theatre.  It is amazingly lighted, too.  It is normally lights everywhere now that winter nights are nothing but cold and dark.

i also love parks, unfortunately there are no good parks here in the PH, there are some but not quite as good out there.
I remember one time when i was broken hearted a few years ago, i celebrated xmas and new year in ayala, due to the nature of my work aswell, i felt the loneliness being away from my family and with someone special but now i am happy, last year me and my bee had a nice time at salcedo park makati walking holding hands (cheesy!) hahahahaha…. i havent been to ayala lately but the street lights there are great… but i am dreaming… new york time square with my bee…. hehehehehe….but still no one can replace being with my family at home…hmmmm… the holiday seasons…

You left me with a thought: when can i visit manila again so that I can see those places you mentioned. I’ve been to Makati but not in that park. I can imagine the holding hands, ahehee!

Christmas seasons is making me really homesick. I can live without seeing these lights as long as I’m with my family, but it’s just a thought for now.

We were in Davao via Singapore last summer but not in Manila. It was in our plan to visit Manila as hubby wanted to see Mall of Asia but the bad weather prevented us. Hopefully next time.

Christmas deco in the US is very interesting. Unlike us here, Christmas deco is only seen inside a shopping mall. However, like many others, I really enjoy giving gifts to kids during Christmas. Hohoho!

Yay, I wish I could see those Christmas lights in the US too. I’d surely love to blog about it.

Then that means I won’t be receiving gifts from you, lol!

Winter nights are much better than summer nights for viewing the wonders of the universe, reason is that in the winter there is less moister and pollution in the air to disrupt light waves.

      Hello Rian,

That’s here in Gothenburg, Sweden. I’m living in this city but I seldom visit that park. I just love the lights in the winter.

The reptile night lights are great. If you already use heat lamp fixtures to keep your dragons’ enclosure warm you won’t be spending much more for the red glass or lunar bulbs. Unless your room temperature drops below 65 degrees, night time heating reallty isn’t necessary.

Ganda talaga ng lights, noong bata ako hilig ko tumanaw sa mga nagkikislapang ilaw na decorasyon sa labas o bintana bahay. Isang magandang pagkakataon para malimuntan ang mga problema.
