Across The Town At Dusk

30 July 2011 By: Marlene3 Comments

The moment we arrived in Catania, we couldn’t get our feet still. We wanted to see what’s around the city and where to go for sight-seeing. We walked on the street from the hotel in the late afternoon until we reached to a point where we could see the town across the sea.

We felt that we’ve gone a little farther so we stopped and enjoyed the scenic view before us. It was beautiful to see such color of the sky in the winter dusk. The grey clouds showed that darkness was about to engulf the city.

I hurried to take more pics before it would get dark. We thought of reaching the other side but it would take a long walk and before we could get there, it would be as dark as coal by then.

That’s hubby at the roadside taking a halt, pondering whether we should go further or go back to the hotel. We headed back to where we started the promenade and left the view of the dusk behind us. But it was well-documented in a photograph and would remain vivid in our minds.

Catania is a city in Sicily and Sicily happens to be a part of Italy. The similarity reminds us of my hometown, Davao more than the other cities in Europe that we’ve been to. It was, indeed, a pleasure to have visited the place even shortly.

Awesome pictures, it reminds me of a beach I used to live near. I miss that place.
