It’s hard to disregard the headlines and pages in a newspaper covering the recent Haiti quake. Not only in the newspaper but in any form of media, the news is enormous even from the breakfast table to the coffee table. It has been five days since the devastation and I’ve read about many organizations and prominent individuals raising funds for the victims. It’s heroic of them. But despite of this stupendous awareness, Haiti is still in a desperate situation. It seems to me that all those help were not enough, or does any more help fail to reach the nation?
It’s quite ironic that in this time of need we read about some heads of an organization facing faud which only means that many are reluctant to support such groups. I am not rich and I don’t have much money to help support the different organizations but a little amount together with others will be a great contribution. But because of this untoward incidents of fraud and embezzlement, I’m one of those who are becoming reluctant to help. Though in fairness, I’m grateful that justice has been served for the people involved and I think more discovery of fraudulent will lead towards uprightness.
While browsing further the newspaper this morning, I came to a page about members of an organization called Doctors Without Borders who are leaving for Haiti. I have seen documentary films of this group and what they do in the field so I thought I should visit their website. My discovery tells me that this organization is worth the support. Their noble act of helping and saving lives is genuine. You may wish to learn more about Doctors Without Borders and make a beneficial decision to help Haiti through them.
If it takes a matter of time for help to reach, it’s a matter of life and death for the victims.

yup, its has been a week that the tragedy in haiti is always on headline, bless the souls of those who died in the tragedy… i heard that there is a pinoy who was burried as well, the same person who survived the july 16 earthquake in baguio, i hope he is now ok… my prayers to them..

madami nga pong organization, nakakatuwa nga kasi in times of this kind of calamity nanjan yung mga taong willing maglingkod ng walang kapalit. Isama na natin ang Redcross, which I’m proud member of. Little donation by text or by sending money through ATM is really appreciated by them

Aba, Red Cross member ka pala. Makabuluhan yan. Dito nakakainis yung isang RC head kasi ginamit ba naman ang mga donations sa luxury niya. Kaya ngayon nasa court siya.

My heart oozes with compassion for those caught up in these disasters. When I think of how those people must be going through, my spirit falls miserably. my thoughts and prayers are with the victims.

Grabee talaga yung nangyari sa Haiti, sana naman di na maulit yun at sana di rin mangyari sa Pinas. Few days after that, lumindol din dito mahina lang naman pero nakakatakot pa rin.
