I Should Have Bought Bronte

Hubby was out this afternoon to check on the taxi car in the parking lot.  He called his brother and asked for help just in case the car was snowed in.  It was indeed, because they needed to tow it.  It didn’t concern me much cos I didn’t know how it looked like out there.  After getting a warning signal 2 yesterday, I could only see that the snow has gotten thicker and higher.  True to say, this is the worst winter I’ve had in my entire stay in this country.  Hubby is also beginning to complain now.  Soon we will file our complaint to the weather bureau.  As if only we could, lol!

Bronte Lo BootRecently, I bought another down jacket and a pair of boots.  I am satisfied with the jacket but not the boots because I didn’t know the would be rather thick like now.  I asked hubby how it was outside and he said it was terrible.  I should have bought a pair of Bronte boots.  My boots don’t really keep my feet warm all the time.  And if I wore thick socks the boots would be impossible to zip.  I felt several times how my feet froze after walking on snow with unsuitable boots.  But it’s spring in two weeks so I am indecisive to buy a pair now.  Though this kind of boots are year-round boots.  Maybe I should.  I should not?

this way to parking lot, please...

Now I know how it’s like when snow falls everyday.  I can’t seem to imagine living every winter like this.  It gives me a thought to start saving so we could fly to a warmer city in the next winter season.  Just a thought.  What are your thoughts? :-)

Go ahead and buy it. You can still use it next year or even sell it on ebay.

I can’t imagine being where you are now in that situation with the weather.

I’m on the north east tropical coast of Queensland Australia where its been raining daily (or nightly) for the past month but its made everything beautiful and green. But…it’s stinking hot.

I wish it would rain here soon, too. I’m waiting for the first rain of Spring, actually cos I want to see how the snow melts. Seems like we never get rid of hot and cold weather.

We were in Davao in July 2009. It’s expensive to travel every year. And we didn’t know that winter would be this extreme this year. Sana nga sa susunod na winter ay makauwi kami diyan.

The cars still work normally when the snow was removed. When not in used, the battery might need recharging.

Yey, Hobo, you’re in India. It snows in the northern part there, right? So you just have to drive up north to experience snowfall.

I have not seen or touch snow before. But I know that living in a cold country is not easy. I worked in Amsterdam, but not during winter, before and I couldn’t stand the cold weather.

The boots look nice. The funny thing is that, although we don’t have winter here, some youngsters love to buy and wear boots. Heheheh
