Fireworks Are Over

This is my first post for 2010.  I still have a hard time writing 1 for the third digit of this year.  It was easier with zero all the way but I guess I will be getting used to it in a couple of months or should I say I have all the time to learn writing 1 in a whole decade, lol!  Oh, my, did I say decade?  And we are traversing again another decade of our lives.  Anyway, what we could do for the time being is to welcome the new decade with hopes and dreams to make it the best of all decades.  Quite frankly, I don’t know which decade I deemed best.  Maybe you know.  But ask me which decade had the best music of all times.  It’s the 80’s.

I’m pretty sure that the decade has been welcomed differently in different countries.  Even so the fireworks and firecrackers are inevitable in celebrating the New Year, others prefer a simple and quiet one.  To me the best place to celebrate the New Year is in the comfort of my home.  I am quite scared to light a firework and so is hubby but we enjoy watching fireworks display through the window.  Last night, we opened the door in the kitchen despite the cold so that hubby could film it.  It was so scary to hear the fireworks exploded one after another.  It went quite ferocious for minutes that I couldn’t stand it anymore.  I felt like some fireworks would hit me any moment.  Anyhow, here are some pictures I took last night.  My first photograph for 2010.  Fireworks are over but the memory remains.  Happy New Blogging Year to everyone!

What? You hardworking fellah, ha. But it’s good! You get rich from working the whole year straight and retire next year, hahaa!

Here was quite before midnite and quite after midnite. Hubby and I just indulged ourselves in watching films. :-)

yup, i need to… planning to get married this year… I hope so… is it legal to light some fireworks/firecrackers up there? coz when i was speaking to some of the engineers in the US, and hearing the fireworks they never thought that fireworks and fire crackers are legal….

Good luck to you plans. :-) Soon you will in the group of married people.

Some countries here in Europe have started to ban firecrackers and fireworks na, but not yere here in Sweden. Hubby’s bro lost his fingers a few years ago after lighting firecrackers. I will be glad if this will be banned here, too, of course.

Happy New Year!

Balita ko kokonti ang naging firecrackers accidents diyan ngayon, which is good. Hehee, I remember playing sparklers nung bata pa ako.

Uy, excited ako sa dollar mo. Masilip nga mamaya.
