This Evergreen Statue

Statue of Liberty in Paris
The Statue of Liberty in Paris

Love beaming, for all living beings of
International Society, from Her face,
Both hands holding, Book of Knowledge and torch light of Eternal Wisdom
Eyes inspiring every ones Hope and each ones,
Right to live, learn, love and leave the legacy
To our future generations, by
You and me, Liberty Statue stands sky high.

Statue stands as symbol of Sovereignty of self of all.
To declare and defend Democracy and to proclaim
America’s ambition, affection and affinity
True to the salt of sea and blue of sky
Urging us U.S. and U.N. as individual(s) and Nation(s) every moment year after year and centuries
Evergreen – Statue of Liberty Stands

A poem by: Ranganathan Parthasarathy of India

Ranganathan wrote this poem when he and his wife visited the Statue of Liberty for the first time.

It must be that one in New York which gave him an overwhelming sight of the statue that prompted him to create the poem, which reflects his feelings and thoughts about life and freedom. I, on the other hand, saw this little one in Paris and it was dark and cold that I couldn’t even see her face. Look what I got for a photo. The back of the Statue of Liberty! I stared at this photo and see if I could create a poem myself. But the thoughts I could come up with my sentiments right now is – Liberty, where are you? I need you to be free from tough days of workloads and worries. :-)

  1. Liberty is Freedom.
And sadly we value the same and created – Money.
Free Air/Water/Sun/Earth/Flowers- By God – never valued.
    Valuable – Air/Water/Sun/Earth/Flowers etc – By human.
And we started selling. And God is quiet watching.
We worship God with no regret that we started selling products made by God for free.
    Liberty is Freedom misused ?

That’s probably the same reason why Ranganathan made this poem. It’s about liberty misused or overused.

You are lucky to see that Statue in Paris! Did you know that it was featured in the National Treasure 2 movie? How cool! Anyway, I’m still wishing to see the Statue here – crossing fingers and toes! LOL!

Btw, your Hawaiian Touch is in safe-keeping for you. I knew you wanted it so I kept it. Let me know when you wanted it and I’ll put it back online or I can just always send you an invoice for it, either way works! :)
