Keep Warm With Hot Choco Drink
What could be the best drink when the weather temperature is gradually turning zero degree. I wish this season would end so soon but that is imposible. Another season of cold and dark days is yet to come. It has been a torture to me although I have lived here for more than ten years. And as long as I am stuck in here, there is no way for me to hop over the season I like the least. Somehow, I managed to get along by keeping myself occupied as much as possible instead of counting days and months, rushing to the end of the season. The more I count, the longer it feels and the waiting becomes forever. Sometimes I ask myself how many years of this season shall I survive, lol! Here I am again with my never-ending complaints of the weather. When it’s too hot, I complain. When it’s too cold, I complain. Same old waltz, so to speak, hehehe.
Now there is one thing that would stop me from complaining – for a moment. This hot chocolatey drink somehow keeps me warm when I am at the mall. I found a place called Lé Croissant that serves this hot choco drink topped with whipped cream. Hmmm! It goes perfectly with a piece of citrus croissant.

The Many Changes
There was not much to do on weekends because the weather here really sucks. Days are getting shorter, nights longer. And what do I love on these days – sleep in and sleep tight till the sun shines bright. That is if the sun would show up. Hubby and I were not even in the mood to watch films, which we normally do on weekends. But this time, it’s books and computers the best refuge to coldness and darkness. While he was reading his book in bed, I got the chance to go online till late, bloghopping and doing some internet stuffs. I don’t do farming on Facebook, mind you. Until now I couldn’t occupy myself playing games online. A thought just occurred to me to visit my online “communities” that I have not visited for a long time.
When I started blogging, I was agog to join any communities I found. And suddenly I disappeared from the limelight, hahaa! The pressure of logging in and remembering passwords and so on and so forth. That’s the reason I became inactive. And last weekend, I thought of visiting some of them again. So to speak, I had to find that long brown writing paper where I wrote my communities’ login infos.
I was indeed surprise to see the many changes of some blog communities or social media or whatever it’s called. I almost feel nauseaus navigating through the entire site when I couldn’t find what I was looking for. It was like keeping a treasure here when it was moved there.
Technorati - I did receive an email about the changes that the site would be going through but that I didn’t mind at all. And now, where have all my fave blogs gone? I couldn’t see one, hahaa! And what is this change – and +? It’s located below your authority figure. And geez, they have top fallers and top risers, too. It looks like that of a stockholder market rising and falling in nature. I need more time to read the site’s blog to completely understand what’s going on there, lol!
StumbleUpon – is running on Beta and so far, I like it. The ability to change the color of your profile is by far good. The changes are good, too but I need to navigate more. It was quite weird when I clicked on the Stumble button and it led me to sites I didn’t wish to Stumble. I’ll wait till the next weekend to learn all this.
Anyone of you who have noticed the changes of those social media sites? Perhaps your view on this matter will enlighten me.
This Song Called Anak

I had a short chit-chat with my Chinese colleague a few days ago during lunch time and the usual talk about our job changed when she told me she heard a Filipino song a long time ago and that the meaning of the song’s title was “child”. She told me that everytime she’d hear it played, she’d had goose bumps because of the lovely melody and the reality of what the song had to convey. I knew at that moment which song she was talking about and I remember I have it in my computer. I promised to give her a copy of the song later. It was just wonderful how she could still remember the song, “Anak” by Freddie Aguilar though it was a long time ago that this song was translated into different languages. Hubby likes most of Freddie’s songs, especially this one. I actually met some other Swedish husbands of my friends and they’re also impressed of Freddie’s music. In fact, I borrowed the cassette tape (with Freddie’s songs) of my friend’s husband a few years ago. Then hubby converted them into wave files that’s why I have Freddie Aguilar’s songs in my hard drive. I personally love all the songs of Freddie and I used to play some of them in my guitar when I was a teenager.

Anak by: Freddie Aguilar
No’ng isilang ka sa mundong ito, laking tuwa ng magulang mo.
At ang kamay nila ang iyong ilaw.
At ang nanay at tatay mo, ‘di malaman ang gagawin.
Minamasdan pati pagtulog mo.
‘Di man sila payag, walang magagawa.
