Say “I Do” To The Proposal

The ProposalYes, yes, yes! I do, I do, I do!  I always say ”yes” and ”I do” when Sandra Bullock comes up with a new film.  Her charisma is irresistible with her cute but sometimes naughty eyes roll on the big screen.  The first movie I saw with her was “While You Were Sleeping” and I became a huge fan after that.  And this latest film of her will surely be added to my collections as soon as it’s out on dvd.  Is it obvious I’m crazy about her?

“The Proposal” had it’s premiere showing here today but as usual, I did not go and watch it.  But I’ve read the critics’ positive review of the film, especially Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock’s chemistry and make this film the best rom-com movie this summer.  In the US alone, it reaped $34.1 million after it’s premiere on 19th June, thus topped as the weekend’s no.1 movie.  Reading this news just makes me more excited to watch the movie but I’m preoccupied with the things to be prepared and done for our vacation.  That’s it.

I wonder how the “make-believe” couple survived their love in the end.  And don’t you ever tell me because I’m going to watch the film myself.

I have 13 films of her in my dvd shelf and counting. :-)

The Day The Sun Stood Still

Sunrise: 04:13 am
Sunset:  10:18 pm

Summer solstice has fascinated me in many ways.   Apart from seeing more of the day in summertime, it is the day when the sun stands still and the longest day of the year, being today, ends the midsummer celebration.  It was prognosed earlier that the weather wouldn’t conform with the celebration as it didn’t on the first day but it ended quite well and warm enough to have a grill in the backyard, with jackets or cardigans on.  When the sun stood still today, I saw no aliens, as opposed to the film, When The Earth Stood Still.  I got this fascinating view through my kitchen window instead…

And what should I do when the sun’s still up?  I took pictures of this lone air balloon in the sky until it dropped to somewhere beyond my sight.  All I could imagine was it seemed to drop on the roof when it actually didn’t.

Where’s My Rice?

cod fillet
cod fillét and what’s that sauce

This is a continuation of my previous post.

The only moment when almost everybody stopped talking was during lunch.  The food, somehow, really kept the mouth from talking and I was glad it did.  I could hear no talking but the sound of cutlery placed on plates.  Seemed better for a moment.  Some looked like a hungry wolf and gorged as soon as the food was served.  But I wasn’t the happiest at all when I saw potatoes served on my plate.  The cod fillét was luscious enough to become pleasing to the eyes as well as to the palates.  But I would be more willing to eat this with rice, lol!  Sometimes, we just can’t get what we want.
