A Week Of Headache Attack

You might be wondering why I haven’t updated my blog since last Monday’s post.  My blogging routine is to publish two or three posts per week, sometimes more than that if time permits.  But I’ve had a headache attack for four days straight that’s been keeping me from blogging and staying up late.  Monday was the worst cos I had to call the office and informed that I would come late due to a terrible headache.  I went out and worked despite of this cos staying at home would only make me feel sick.  I thought I’d caught colds and flu the following days but luckily, it was just slight headaches.  Although bearable, the annoyance it caused was uncomfortable and distracting that I couldn’t focus on what I was doing.

I know for a fact that it’s not a migraine headache because I haven’t experience nausea, vomiting and other sensitivities at the time of the attack.  I couldn’t exactly tell how and what triggered my headache but I know I am sensitive to smoke and odors.  But hubby doesn’t smoke and we both don’t wear perfumes.  The only place I could smell fragrances and smoke is in public places like at the bus stop and malls.  Medicines help alleviate the pain but I feel dizzy when I take twice a day.  In Davao, I used to let my sister massage the back of my head and neck and the headache would be gone fast.  I did ask hubby to massage me once but he was like massaging a baby, afraid the skin might be stripped off the body.

It’s hard to tell what causes me headaches  but one thing I can say for now – I’m glad it’s over!   Until then, have a nice weekend everyone.

Sit Glued To The Tube

I can’t believe I still have this bulky and awkward TV set when here comes the elegant and space-saver flat ones taking over most household appliances.  I told hubby once we should get that wide-screen flat TV but he said the good old one’s not damaged or broken yet.  Now, anyone could tell me how to break it or should I smash it hard so it would break into pieces.  Although hubby and I don’t watch TV regularly, we would find ourselves sitting glued to it watching films in the weekends or when we’re both off work.  And the worst habit that I may have formed constantly is that I can’t have my cup of coffee anywhere but in front of the TV.   It would have been more a movie house-atmosphere if I had a 52-inch LCD-TV.  Dream on!

I remember way back in Davao where I used to watched the evening soap operas.  I used to be the queen of Filipino soap operas, weeping like a poor lamb in front of the tube.  In a way, I miss the Filipino TV series no matter how far-fetched or predictable they would be.  Unfortunately, I don’t have those international Filipino channels except when I purchase a so-called cable TV.  But the price is unreasonably high for a channel.  However,  there is another way of viewing some Filipino channels and it’s quite affordable for me.  It’s my first time to learn about this and that it offers a wide variety of international channels, including Filipino channels.  I was browsing all the programs on it a while ago and found these interesting offers.  But before I get addicted to soap operas again, I should have a flat LCD TV first.  If not, I will be sitting glued to the fat tube forever.

And most interestingly, I can watch films on this online channel anytime I want. Hubby and I love films but we often go to movie theatres. Now we can enjoy watching those films we missed at a fair cost.

Whenever, Wherever

This must be the craziest tag that’s been going around the blogosphere. I had fun reading all the silly answers to some thought-provoking questions. Now I am going crazy myself and get silly, forget serious answers, but listen to how the music blends with my life’s toughest questions. I should thank Rozella of Asian Mutt International for passing this tag and for making me laugh at the coldest moment of my life, lol!

The rules:
1. Put your iTunes/Napster/Zune Player/WinAmp/etc on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS! NO SKIPPING!!!!
4. Tag 10 or more friends who might enjoy doing this as well as the person you got it from.
