My first week of work ended good when we had our so called “social trip” to a uninhabited island yesterday. The early trip was not at all exciting because of the gloomy weather and cold gush of wind. But the weather changed course when we were on board a little boat that took us to the island. The gray clouds turned to bright as if after a short black-out, the lights were on and everybody looked happy. The island used to be a military headquarter during the war so you know what to expect to see. After looking around, taking pictures and listening to the guide for more than a half day, we went on board the boat again to move to another island for our lunch. Classy. It’s a little island so not much to say about it than people going there just to eat in the somewhat old-fashioned but cozy restaurant. The atmosphere of eating by the sea adds the lure to the island. I had a great time really to mingle again with my colleagues after the two-month summer break.

We finished a bit earlier, around 4pm so I thought of going to the light fixtures shop to look for a small table lamp before heading home. It’s not for the table actually, but it’s for our hallway bureau we bought a month ago. It was hubby’s idea to place a lamp on it so it wouldn’t look bare. As always, it will take months or years before his can finalize his idea. When it comes to home lighting, he knows the watts and volts than I do. But I don’t think I need to be an expert of those when I just buy a table lamp or chandeliers for this matter.  And speaking of chandeliers, I have this odd feeling everytime I see one on the ceiling that it would fall any moment on my head.
